Fellow shipmates,

The Reunion is fast approaching (October 16th to 19th, Wilmington, NC) and you need to send in your reservations for the hotel and Black River boat tour. The tour will be cut off at 35, and includes a box lunch. If you snooze, you loose! This year the hotel is again in the downtown area. We have had great times in the downtown hotels as they are within walking distance of lots of attractions, and the downtown shopping for the ladies. If you are unsure of attending, don't be. Everyone has a great time meeting new people, and renewing friendships from past reunions and onboard ship. Hope to see you there!

Individual guests must call the hotel direct for reservations. Room rate of $129.00 plus tax/day and are guaranteed up to 30 days before the date. All rooms are riverfront and parking is free. Deadline for all reservations is September 15, 2014. The reservation department is now accepting reservations for your special day. You can make reservations by calling 1-800-617-7732.

Thursday October 16th

5pm-midnight - Welcome Reception in hospitality room. Food and beverages provided by Association.

Friday October 17th

10am - 4-hour Black River boat ride, box lunch included. We provide beverages. Max 35 people. First come, first served. Deadline for reservations is Sept. 15, 2014


10am - 45 minute Wilmington Trolley tour /ride. $11.00 per person to be paid by individual when you board trolley.

5pm-midnight, hospitality room: shipmates swap sea stories.

Saturday October 18th

10am - Tour battleship North Carolina.

6pm-9pm - Banquet and annual meeting in hospitality room. Buffet style dinner with all you can eat: Prime rib, grilled chicken with rice, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas, vegetable medley, house salad, dinner rolls, tea, coffee and dessert. Beverages provided by Association.

P.S. As a reminder, you must make your own Hotel reservations. All Activity fees will be paid through Paul Sears, our Treasurer and are DUE by September 1, 2014. To pay your dues and register for the events, fill out the attached form and return as instructed. Also, attached you will find a nametag order form for use at our reunions, etc. They are very nice.
